HR Business Partner

Our client is on a journey of tremendous growth and is now seeking an HR Business Partner who will lead, strategize and oversee the delivery of their people vision.

Who they are looking for

As HR Business Partner, you will ensure the delivery of our client’s people vision, embedding and leading on our client’s culture with a focus on making our client an employer of choice and their employees proud and excited to be part of the organisation. This is an important role, suitable for a confident and capable HR leader who enjoys steering strategic direction whilst keeping busy day to day with operational HR responsibilities. You need to enjoy all areas of HR for this role, a great strategic mindset, transactional excellence and a passion for working with brilliant people in an organisation that has seen rapid and dramatic growth in the last year and has very ambitious growth plans.

 

You will be accountable for ensuring full compliance to UK employment law and UK HR practices; advising stakeholders about the frame of UK legislation, proactively raising mitigation to be considered in ER casework. You will be accountable for and drive our client’s HR policies, challenging them to do the best by their hardworking and committed employees coordinating the necessary steps to ensure compliant decision making. You will oversee the effective implementation of policies and processes, whilst being a true HRBP to the senior leadership team as required.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead on the implementation of the People strategy working closely with the Head of People Operations and Leadership  team to embed changes, design and develop systems and processes to support the strategy, ensuring that it’s focused on achieving overall strategy through its people whilst being a great place to work.
  • Through the continuous review and contribution to the People strategy and with support from the Director of corporate services and CEO, regular assessment of organisational structure, culture, systems, resourcing models, working practices, people profiles and behaviours needed for the company to thrive in the delivery of its mission.
  • Monitor and work towards People KPI’s and targets relating to the ‘organisational health’, monitoring performance against these and taking appropriate action to ensure they are met.
  • Full HR business partnering to senior and management colleagues, guiding and supporting them with ER cases, supporting workforce planning and department OD and upskilling management competence and capability in HR practices and procedures.
  • Support the Head of People Operations to lead on Culture ensuring organisation wide ownership and accountability from the executive team. Drive the embedding of the values in everyday work and behaviours throughout the organisation nationally and challenge where this is not happening.
  •  Accountability for HR compliance across the organisation to UK employment law and UK HR best practice. Ensuring all people policies and procedures are up to date and compliant and guide managers to make compliant decisions in people related matters. Support stakeholders with advice and guidance on constraints and mitigation to be considered in each individual matter in order to ensure compliance in the implementation of management HR decisions
  • Lead on a seamless Recruitment process, ensuring recruiting managers are competent in the recruitment process whilst remaining inclusive and thorough in their approach through training. Guide the HR and recruitment administrator to provide support to hiring managers, ensuring a high- quality process whilst leading a proactive search service acting as a talent hunter, filling the candidate pipeline, assessing the candidates, making offers and writing employment contracts.
  • Drive a Learning and development culture, leading on the L&D framework, giving teams the opportunity to develop and improve throughout their career at the company. Assess and manage the third party suppliers of L&D programs ensuring they support the overall people strategy and goals on the organisation and are fit for purpose for team development.
  • Lead on the Appraisal and PRP process, leading on the appraisal cycle and calibration meetings across the organisation.
  • Support on board and Exec Team HR reporting, providing up to date HR data giving insight to stakeholders on the overall organisation health and updating them on people goals and KPI’s.

You have:

  • A strong HRBP background is essential
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK HR policy and employment law
  • Experience of strategic and transactional HR work and a willingness to continue doing both.
  • Confidence in challenging behaviours against our client’s culture and values in a solution focused method.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills, working with multiple stakeholders to achieve company objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to a range of audiences
  • Experience of working in a rapid growth organisation
  • The ability to challenge effectively and hold others to account whilst maintaining relationships.
